Ukids Initiative is the first non-profit organization in Uganda that directly supports single mothers. The stigma around single motherhood is a shame, backed by the community’s perception that life will always be hard thereon once one becomes a single mother.

We believe differently. Many factors like early marriages, economic factors, polygamy, health, death, illiteracy, and ambition lead to this status of being a single mother. Girls should be allowed a second chance.

At Ukids, we empower single mothers through technology, continuous learning, and unlearning to transform their lives. We aim to support and offer them opportunities to contribute to their communities.
